In aviation that's caring about picking the exact wing profile, getting to the perfect geometry of a structural element, or reducing trim drag. These are critical when you work on mature systems (like an airliner), but are irrelevant when you're at the beginning of building a new category of systems.

That means we do not do detailed analysis until we have witnessed a problem that warrants it. Instead, we use broad, first principles analysis methods to move fast towards the right overall system, which is where most of the value lies. From there, we prototype, fly, find the next problem, fix it and repeat until it works demonstrably in real conditions - not in a simulation.

This site will focus on high-intensity testing, reliability work, Arctic-specific features, and building the processes needed to run a multi-aircraft drone operation around the clock. It will be based in Atlantic Canada, in either in Halifax or St John's. We will be visiting in late January to select the final location, and the decision will largely be based on whom we can find in either place. You will be the founding team for this new location.
